my tired weekend..n tips for interview..hee~

Assalamualaikum..

Minggu yang padat..

Never have my rest..huhu

Overloading assignment n project..huarghhhhh!

On Friday and Saturday (12/3-13/3/2010) I went to Graduate Excellence Assistance Training (GREAT) or students call as practicum course(name randomly given by students..hehe)..from 8 to 5 pm…soooo tiredddddddd…huhuhu

On my first day..i was sooooo sleepy…dah la bangun x berapa nak awal..hehe lepas tu terus berkejar pergi ke dewan takut dah start n I probably miss something...huhu

When u come late..of course u have to sit in front..by hook or by crook I have to follow the order even I am soooo sleepy and plan want to sleep..hehehe actually walaupun saya duduk di barisan hadapan.. i don’t even know what the speaker is talking about in the morning session..(maybe tertidur kot..hikhikhik)

BUT….Even I was sleeping..i still can wrote the tips given by the speakers..hehehe

Here I want to share with u because I want all my readers to be succeed..(ayat baik kunun:P)

TIPS TO BE SUCCEED IN YOUR INTERVIEW..!!!

1. WHEN U ENTER THE ROOM, GIVE A PURE SMILE AND GIVE SALAM/GOOD MORNING..
(in US, you have to say HELLO because that is their culture..)

2. SHAKE THE INTERVIEWER’S HAND AND TELL YOUR NAME
for muslim women just nod your head if you don’t want to shake hands
(ex: I’m Norhayati..say it confidently..

3. PAUSE AND WAIT FOR INVITATION TO BE SEATED
If you are not invite to seat just pull the chair and seat..don’t ask the interviewer whether you can seat or not because they will see that you are not confident in what you are doing.

4. OPEN YOUR PORTFOLIO
Only first page..Application letter..the rest of your resume will be open by the interviewers themselves

5. HAVE A PEN, NOTEBOOK TO JOT DOWN
Just a small notebook..the smaller the better..

6. WAIT FOR THE INTERVIEWER TO ADDRESS YOU
Key question: why do u want this job? What can you offer to this job?

7. DON’T PRETEND TO HAVE KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE YOU DON’T HAVE
They want your integrity..

8. AFTER ALL QUESTION HAVE BEEN ANSWERED, SAY THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY AND IF APPROPRIATE SHAKE HAND AGAIN

9. BEFORE EXIT THE ROOM, ASK WHAT THE NEXT STEPS IN THE HIRING PROCESS AND HOW YOU CAN CHECK THE RESULT FOR THE INTERVIEW

That’s it..!!
DON’T FORGET TO::::::
-get enough sleep..
-dress appropriately..
- turn off your handphone..!!!


Hehehe…during the course..me n my friend(miss nazia)collect as many bottles of mineral water and buns as we can!(stock for the day, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow..bla3..hehe) peduli ape orang nak cakap pun..janji x membazir..hehehe(tapi ramai orang buat macam tu jugak..huhu)

On the same day, I enter the resume writing competition but only got consolation prize..so unlucky..but I know that is my own fault because I wrote the resume in 3 pages..(2 pages is the best for fresh graduate resume..!!!how I do not noticed about that!!)

The winner is my friens also..a Chinese girl from my class..i know her resume is excellent because she attend the CV writing workshop conducted by DELOITTE..huhu ..(I will attend that one day!!) and she also very excellent in her academic and non academic

Xpelah..nak buat macam mana kan..but I still won the CASH..hehehe( even consolation only..huhu)
